Select a Company Name and establish a Domain Name
Objective:
Create a company name and ensure that you can register the name on the Internet.

Instructions
In this exercise, you will select your company, define its product or service, and ensure that you can register the name on the Internet.
Select a company name.
Check to see that the domain name is available by going to the Network Solutions Web page.
Enter http://www.networksolutions.com.
Enter your newly created company name in the space provided.
Click the Search button to begin the lookup.
If your query results exhibit a previous registration, you must continue your search.
Enter a new company name or an easily recognizable derivative of your company name.
Repeat steps 5-8 until you find a company name you can register as a domain.
Once you have determined a company name or a derivative of your company's name that can be used as a domain name, you can choose to register the domain. For the purposes of this exercise, it is not necessary to register a domain name unless it is one you wish to purchase and use. When you have completed this exercise, click
